So i have a set of 255/17/40 tires from another
Project and was contemplating buying a set of wheels to run
Them at my local hpde days only..

Or should i just by another set of 18" tires for the setup i have now..

If i run the 255 tires square what might i expect handling wise?

Get yourself a 17x10 and run them, if you plan to keep tracking, the NT01 in 275/40-17 will be a great tire to use on the wheels later.

Only thing that sucks, you are limited on tire availability

 

I have thought about running 17s for track tires due to $$. They are significantly cheaper than 18s.

 

I have a set of 17x10 and love it! and I run 255/40/17 with no issues at all.
