The weather was foul the whole weekend at the event. With small rivers running down the course. Meet up with Carter Thompson , Jim Thompson and Mike Golding. All of wich we enjoyed meeting and bs with.
The problem for the weekend was tires. It seems that our competitors brought the better tire for the wet. Most rode on dirt tires with deap tread for better adhesion to the wet pavement. I had a set of near new kumho victoracers that proved to be no help with this much rain. They also moved the F Stock class into our group wich only had three participants, but they were better prepard with tires than I was. Ended up 7th out of 8 places. The two course that they had set up were a lot of fun the left was the better one for it had the least water on it but still was not dry enough for a decent time. Carter laid down a awesome time on this course considering condition. He keep me at bay with a 1.12 second lead. The right course was the curse of the race, at a pivot point of the course the was about 2-4 inches of standing water in thisarea about ten feet wide. You would hydro plane threw this and proceded up a soloam wich the river was again in the way. The first day I had ran the kumho threw the wet and decided to try the factory Bridgestones out to see if there was any improvement on the course. With a little luck they did. A whole wopping .15 seconds. While this stayed off the Thompsons
on the right side, I have to give them credit for running some great times on hoosier slicks in some god awfull conditions.
So there it is, hardley the acid test for the Z when ill prepard.
Carter bested me by little more than .9 seconds and I topped Jim by .26 seconds. So some tight racing and great comrodery.
