That's correct. I just copied and pasted my schedule from s2ki, but there was a change since then....I should have probably remembered since I am on the AI committee .

Hey Mike, btw.

I have a friend that runs with NASA at summit point and I was wondering if there is an autocross that is fast enough to actually get into third.

He needs to tune the car a bit, and autocrosses are too slow compared to the track.

I saw the videos for the NASA autocross (which I did not know they had) and they seem pretty open, but they are run all the way down at VIR....

 

There is an event at the end of march which they plan to use the patriot course at VIR. I have run with NASA and VMSC at VMP, and only one of the courses of the three used third gear.

 

Thats what I thought.

BTW, since I am on a questioning streak...

I am going to run a few events with my mazda. But I have no clue where it falls.

Its a 88 N/A RX7 with intake, cat back, KYB AGXs, full cage (with FULL Interior intact), and a clutch differential (the one from the RX7 FC Turbo).

I have been talking with Mike Golden and he thinks that I fall into STR due to the differential. I have been checking for the rules to see if there is any way around it to run on another group, since they are going to pull 30 seconds on me per run!

Any ideas?

 

Either STR or CSP. The diff knocks you out of STS.

 

Even if it is the stock one from the turbo model?

Tires for next weekend arrived last night.....

 

Nice Mike. What size are those tires? I will be out there as much as I can but I have rugby games on Saturdays so it looks like i can only do CDC when they run on Sundays for the next 3 months.

 

I'm not planning on doing many CDC events this year...maybe 2 or 3. They are 315/30/18 A6's for the Dixie National Tour in GA next weekend.

 

Yeah I like the bmwcca better because its not as big.

 

Anyone doing any upcoming events?

I just got back from the SCCA National in GA. Lots of fun....came away with a 1st place. That's 2 free hoosiers and other contingency money.

 

Good job Mike. I am busy every Saturday for the next 3 months so I cannot do any events. I am going to try and do the CDC test and tune this Sunday if my car gets tuned this week.

I am doing the BMW event on Sat and Rallycross on Sunday.

Im taking the RX7 to both.

 

Congrats any vids or pics. When is your next local event after this weekend you are going to run?

I want to come check it out is it free to watch and ride?

 

I'm not sure which event I will do next. I plan to do events on the 24th, 25th, 31st of March and the 1st of April. The only one that is really somewhat close is the event on the 1st at Fedex Field.
