[HR track car] Cams with headers - long or decats for now? Other mods?
Guys, my friend will be travelling to the US next month and he can buy a few parts for me - even big ones as he will be shipping everything in a container. I want to use this opportunity even if it means buying parts for future mods now.
I'm pretty much done with upgrading wheels, suspension, intake, drivetrain (see the list below) and I'm building a custom exhaust next month (resonated decats, 2x2" design with a single stock style muffler and two tailpipes).
The dilemma I have right now is this:
I need to replace the oil gallery gaskets so I'm thinking about also getting upgraded cams now and doing it all at once. I don't know which ones to get though, e.g. JWT or Tomei, 264 or 272?
I'm reading now that cams, headers and exhaust should be matched for the best results, for example: PPE LTH makes better sense with more aggressive cams and ideally with a matching cat-back (same diameter as the long tube output).
I'm really not sure if I need long tube headers at this stage but I don't want to limit myself in future if I stay with stock headers and just do decats for now. Would it be ok to install cams now and leave stock headers? Which cams should I get if I still want to have installing LTH as an option in future? Do I need to change my exhaust design depending on what choice I make about the cams?
List of my current mods. What else should I upgrade to build a competetive and reliable track car? What's the next best thing(s)?
AC delete
ESP killswitch
28 raw oil cooler
DIY brake air ducts
Lightweight vented hood
380rs gas pedal
SPC upper front arms
Adjustable rear camber arms + spring bucket delete
SPL solid differential bushings
Hotchkis sway bars
Stoptech SS brake lines
Brembo brakes, Stoptech discs, Ferrodo DS 2500/DS Performance pads
Enkei RPF-1 9,5''/10,5'' with 255/275 semislicks
Stance SuperSport full coilovers with 14/9kg Swift springs (changing rear springs to 6k this season)
Bucket seats, harness bar, 5-point Sabelt
Bumper air ducts (intake)
OS Giken 1.5
14lbs flywheel
3.9 FD
PS. This season I will still be daily driving the car occasionally (short trips to work and to/from a track). Next season probably a track car only.

stay away from Ferrodo DS Performance. you need at least DS Uno
next option, maybe Aero? Splitters, Airdamns, Underbodies, Rear Wings. Canards
more Tyres and Brakepads to get more seat time

DS Performance are fine, I'm quite happy with them after this season. Just remembered though that I only have them at the back. I have DS2500 at the front.
I can't do full aero yet as I will still be driving the car daily this season. Next season for sure together with proper weight reduction and a roll bar!
Looking for advice about the cams, headers and exhaust and an overall path to a competetive and reliable NA track car not limited by any regulations.

You haven't mentioned anything about tuning software, and IMO that's an absolute key. UpRev's Osiris system is what's needed to maximize any hardware changes on either the intake or exhaust side. And while it's sure to be expensive in Europe, how about tuning with 100 octane fuel to aid performance?
Yes, I was planning to do that after building the custom exhaust and installing cams.
Thanks! I'll find out now about the 100 octane fuel tune to see what that would give me. They guy that will be tuning my car has been working with Zeds for a long time and is the best expert in our country.
PS. Welcome back dkmura!
