Default A/X finally

First AX of the year coming tomorrow - finally get to try my new setup, wheels and tires

*side note - My 24 year old son (first timer) will be joining me as a CO-DRIVER and yes I'll be riding with him

I encouraged him to go and learn, but I didn't plan on him sitting behind MY wheel...wish I had a brake on the passenger side haha

Sounds like a good time. Also, having a co-driver will get you some additional feedback on what your new wheel/tire package is doing. Plus, you get to school him on what solo racing is all about. Have fun!

Thanks David, can't wait. My wife and son always complain "you drive like a old man" and I reply "I could go faster if I wanted to, but I enjoy looking around"
haha - I'm going to take him with me on my first run, that'll open his eyes and get his heart pumping. I guarantee his wont give me the old man crap again
As for my wife she considers herself my city driving instructor "watch this guy - he's turning - green light" Even though I've taking her for white knuckle laps and the A/X course years ago. Funny thing , she wont give it a try herself, go figure.

Tomorrows Fathers day "old guy redemption day" haha

Hah- you story reminded me of the time I took my wife in a tandem kart ride at our local Malibu GP. She said: "don't go too fast", so I went at about 7 10ths for the first part of the lap. Then she started yelling something, so I slowed down. "What? What is it", I yelled. She kept saying something, but I couldn't hear at half throttle. Oh dear, maybe she doesn't feel well, so I'd better get her back to the finish.

After blitzing the remaining half of the course, I went past the finish and got out of the throttle. Now I could hear her yelling: "You don't care!" over and over. Whaa? She explained : "I told you to SLOW DOWN, but then you went even faster!" Ah well, that was 27 years ago and we're still married, but she continues to refuse to go on any more kart rides with me...

Have fun on your Father's Day Revenge Tour!

Funny how those people who love giving advice in regular street driving will almost always turn down driving on a race track. lol
