PERFORMANCE NISSAN RACING RESTED, TESTED AND READY FOR HOMESTEAD-MIAMI
March 23, 200 - Rosamond CA
After a six-week break between races, Performance Nissan Racing is on the road heading for Homestead-Miami Speedway and the Grand Am Cup 250, to be run Sunday March 28th.
Following the Daytona season opener, Grand Am officials allowed rule changes resulting in more horsepower for the Nissan 350z. Many man hours and many dyno hours have been spent changing three engines over to the new specs and retuning the fuel curve. “We are pleased with the numbers we have seen so far and are confidant heading into Homestead”, said
Jackson Stewart, owner of Unitech Racing.
The crew took advantage of the long break between races by fabricating two new tire carts and a new multi-use pit cart. “The race weekends are so busy the new equipment will make the crew more efficient and everything run more smoothly, allowing us to focus on the cars”, said Eric Meade, lead mechanic for Performance Nissan Racing.
The #23 car has also benefited from the time off between races.
Extensive fine-tuning was accomplished and the team is excited about testing the #23 at Homestead-Miami.
