Learning from other peoples mistakes
Was pointed to an interesting thread on bimmerfest forums. They look at crash videos and try to figure out what happened so as to learn for themselves.
Learning from other peoples mistakes...
Fun stuff, except for the Calder video linked below which is so scary its funny. It looks like a video game.
Gran Turismo with bad drivers...
All this stuff is getting me to really think about how I'm gonna approach my first HPDE event (Buttonwillow end of April). I'm thinking nice slow and smooth, hopefully I'll be able to keep with that and not get too into driving too fast too soon.

Yeah I read you buttonwillow post before, really good stuff. When time comes I'll probably read everything I can about it again and watch some buttonwillow videos so I can get familiarized with the track.

Yeah none of these guys should have been on that track without an instructor. Then again I wonder what instructor would have been crazy enough to go there with them.
Most likely some guys just rented a track for day by themselves. It's a good thing there's a lot of run off or there would have been more ***** of flaming wreckage scattered around.
C Ray Z I pm'd you with some info.
