I hope they can deliver a 1st! Isn't this race being shown on SPEED in a few weeks? I think it is the 18th or something?

Unitech said I could help them with driving the #23 car... for $16000! Maybe not... That's okay, my lap times at VIR were 15 seconds off w/ street tires and stock suspension. So I probably have some work to do anyways...

Good news is the Performance 350Z of Cronin Jr. & Hayner have the pole with BJ & Michael in 4th place. Bad news is the other Performance 350Z hit the wall...... Race is tonight.

#33 pole sitting Performance 350Z ran well and led the race till lap 75. Problem dropped it many laps off the pace. Set fastest lap of the race. Car was the class of the field. The #23 Performance car started towards the tail of the field due to a crash in qualifying. Finished 3rd! Nice run. BJ's car ran well and finished 9th. A win is close folks. The #33 car deserved this one......

#33 had a broken halfshaft which took it out of the lead.....

It is a shame Jeff. Mike drove superbly and set the races fastest lap on lap 2. Stu got in on lap 75? and came out with a 6 second lead and was as quick as the Porsche. It should be fun to watch as the lead 2 cars were close for the first 75 laps. Nice to see the #23 finish 3rd. Wonder what it would have done from the first two rows..... A win is close, very close.

Neat shot. Its from the start of the race. Mike leads from pole and sets fastest lap. Car breaks half shaft while leading.....

The whole crew on the #35 car did another excellant job this past weekend.
We have with out a doubt .....the fastest 350z in the country.........that runs on 4-5 cylinders.

Michiel in qualifying did a great job on 5 cylinders qualifyng in the 4th spot. The car started missing really bad on lap 10-15. When I got in the car was only getting up to about 108 on the fortn straight away. This was our final race with our old engine builder.
Good things are on the horizon. We are in the process of switching engine builders and should hopefully be anouncing something very soon. The entire team is very excited about this new development!
We have 5 weeks until the Mont tremblant where we had a very strong car last year.
This was one of those weekends that we knew we just had to muster on and get through it. The bleeding is hopefully over......its is always darkest before the brightest hour!!!!
We will also be going to the next round with our brand new car which has a beautiful new cage with many many updates.

Dwnshift,

Wondered what the problem was. It shouldn't be long till we see 2 or 3 350Z's fighting it out at the front. There are more tracks coming up that should suit the car even more. Kudos to the Performance team this weekend they deserved a victory IMO.

Great photo find VR3.

Good to hear you're switching engine builders BJ... it's painfully obvious that they haven't given you all a solid product to win races with... good luck with your preparations for Mont Tremblant!

Hey BJ, just wanted to THANK YOU for bailing us out again!! If it wasn't for you and your teams help in getting our car fixed, it would never have seen the track again last weekend!

Jeff,
Glad to you guys were able to get her back on the track and did hell of a job in the race.
It was great to see the 350Z on the podium.
The 350Z's should do well again at MTB.
Hopefully our new engine program will take off.
