Default Power Steering Fluid for Track Days?

Can anyone reccomend a good fluid. Is the present fluid ok once I add the Nismo Power Steering cooler?

If I have to change do I have to flush out the old fluid or completly drain the old fluid?

Your expert help appreciated.

I just added the power steering cooler with the regular fluid and it worked fine, even in extended 102 degree temps on the track.

Thanks for the feedback. Getting it installed this week next rack day is mid May at Buttonwillow. I think it will be a good test.

I have another question for you since you did the install. Did you do it yourself? The instructions say to remove the front bumper. Di you have problems removing. I found the local Nissan dealer was afraid to attempt the removal of the bumper. I can't believe this dealer does not have the skills to perform this. I am going to try a local Japaneese auto shop that works on Nissans.

Thanks for any help you can offer. I have limited area to perform any work of more than a half day.

Anybody know where I can get the power steering cooler for less than the nissan MSRP? I'm boiling the heck out of my power steering fluid in just a couple minute sessions!!!

Removing the front bumber is simple. You just have 6 bolts and a lot of clips to remove. Other than that its really easy. You might need someone to help you put it back, however. You need two people to realign the bumber.

A must for tracking. I have the power steering cooler and I just use regular power steering fluid. I also recommend the lsd heat soak cooler as well. Pulls heat right off the lsd.
