does anyone know what the wt is on the Z vs the 911??? and what about HP vs the 2????

I am quit honestly shocked that the Z is doing this well, only being beat by the 911, beating the M3s, NSX, Cobras (are those the supercharged versions?), Firebirds, 911s, etc......it is pretty amazing that there are ony a few small teams running/developing these $30k cars, when the 911s and others have been around and developed forEVER and cost a ton more money and have the help of past developments buy some high dollar companies/teams. I'd love to know how the Z does so well, is it by nature a pretty good car out of the box (relatively) and have a good enough design base to make it as good as its results are showing or is it one of those things where the judges are giving some breaks to the Z cars (wt, HP, brakes, and other mods??) to make them look more competative????

I believe the point is that BJ & 350Evo and the Performance Nissan Team have made the 350Z competitive by sheer hard work and talent. Both teams are working together as evidenced by the help the 350Evo team provided the Performance team at Phoenix. I am not even sure NNA is helping them much at all. 350Evo's team is run by a very talented and well known crew chief John Wright who has many wins and championships to his credit as well as crew chief of the year awards. The car is very strong at tracks such as Mid-Ohio, VIR & Barber. I think with a little luck a Z win is not far off.
