Default Z1 Upgraded 350Z Hatch Struts

Z1 Upgraded Hatch Struts are a great solution for your old worn out ones. These high quality kits are now available in 3 different strengths Mild High Pressure (MHP), High Pressure (HP), or Ultra High Pressure (UHP) upgraded replacements.

Each kit includes a new pair of upgraded hatch struts with socket ends, ball studs with retainer locks, and new lower mounting plates with ball studs.
No Cutting required! Install in minutes, just transfer over your bolts from your old lower mounting plates and install the new mounting plates, thread in the new upper ball stud with the strut and snap the lower strut socket into place. Install the lower retainer lock and you are all set. You won't have to worry about your hatch falling on your head anymore.

Our new Mild High Pressure Units (MHP) are great for cars without spoilers or the stock standard spoiler, while still being stronger than stock they are the lowest pressure we offer and closest to stock strength. The High Pressure (HP)units are great for almost every application, they are substantially stronger than the originals and will support most large aftermarket spoilers or just be strong for a standard application. The upgrade to the Ultra High Pressure (UHP)units offer mamimum added lift support for the Largest heavier aftermarket spoilers, or just a workout for those looking for it.

Available in MHP, HP or UHP for your 350Z.
Each set comes with an 18 month warranty
Installation instructions available here.

*Please note; These hatch struts are stronger and intended as an upgrade to the stock units, not just a standard replacement. Upgraded MHP & HP hatch struts will require a little more effort to close the hatch if a heavier spoiler is not in place, while UHP units will require a notable amount of effort to close the hatch if a heavier spoiler is not in place.

Each set comes with an 18 month warranty

Check out our VIDEO HERE.

HP Struts are $68.00 plus shipping.

MHP Struts are $73.00 plus shipping.

UHP Struts are $73.00 plus shipping.

Wow I thought my my hatch struts were the only ones that were a piece of ****. As a matter of fact tonight was the first time it almost slammed shut on my hand.
Bump for a good price, may be gettin my hands on a set of these soon.
Also, with these will the hatch properly "spring" open or will it just stay wherever you put it?

I just installed the Z1 Motorsports UHP Hatch Strut set on my '06 6MT 350Z (with the Nismo Wing and the hatch weight). Much better than the heavy duty ones that Nissan sells. A very worthwhile upgrade. Thx Z1 Motorsports. My head and hands feel safer now around the hatch.

THe UHP struts are what we would recommend for the added weight.

Unfortunately, these struts are too long to fit the convertible. They are in the works though. Be sure and check back.
