Here are a couple of nighttime shots. It's hard to get a good representation of them even with my DSLR, but these at least give an idea.

Parking lights are some 1 led polarized bulbs from Superbrightleds, these are the only ones I've bought from this company that haven't burned out.

The LEDs in the reflectors are 5mm LEDs I mentioned earlier. They're running at 3.5 volts and 21 mA.

The LEDs are placed towards the rear of the reflector in this case because the plastic and metal bracketry on the back on the reflector was difficult to modify. Since I moved them towards the rear, I angled the LEDs so that the light is more forward. This seems to allow the LEDs to be seen from the front a little better.

The wiring of the LEDS is similar to the illustration attached.

Some do and help the math challenged. Buy picking your LEDs you can select exactly what you want - brightness, color, and output angle.

Alright I just went crazy tonight. Bought some clear reflectors from ebay. Bought 1000 red LED's from surplusleds.com for 40 bucks (Planning on making a few sets of these).

Determining whether or not to pull the trigger right now on some parking lights and the blinkers.

Anyone know if you have to open up the headlight to access the parking and blinker lights? I am assuming no but cant remember.

The parking and blinker lights are attached to the sides of the headlight enclosure so you don't actually remove the big plug in the back of the assembly but you do have to do everything else:

1. remove the wheel.
2. remove the plastic inner fenderwell.
3. have fun.
