Problem:
1. Blacked out headlights
2. It rained, condensation appears, main light doesnt work, blinker does.
3. Why me, Lord, why me?

A really great write up but to be honest i prefer the paint on the white cars headlamps than the black cars headlamps.

Just thought i would share some as well. Painted KH3 black by a professional shop, i needed this one to be super nice instead of always using spray cans. Just waiting to put it back together after work! STI-R lens, squirrel finder grinded off, spaced for super beutiful flicker (gotta do it, super nice), front bowl painted black, red demon eyes. Just waiting for that Osram CBI bulb for maximum lumens output.

Also, Bmccann101, thanks for your info on some other thread about the DEPO lens, fits perfect. Now i got brand new lenses and super shiny headlight!

Also, those 4 leds on the corner can be changed pretty easy and only cost less then $2 for a few leds. theres was someone selling a replacement board but if you have basic soldering and know how to use resistors, its a piece of cake. i used 5mm white leds, although not a direct replacement (factory one uses some odd shapped ones). I dont have pics of it now but will try post later.

thanks for the tutorial and inputs from all the users. i did this mod this week and it turned out great. i may created a bit of stress marks at the bottom of the light(i preyed it open my self). i did not put the parts on the ground i held each part and sprayed it evenly in every angle. 250 for 8-10 minutes did the trick to open them up. i released them by putting them in the oven again. letting it cool down and put them in again for 5 mins. i used high temp header paint primer and duplicolor low gloss high temp paint(satin). color is perfect, 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of satin. i did not mask the 4 little leds clear part. i couldn't get that clear lens off so i just painted over them. light still comes through barley, actually looks better than being bright amber. i ordered chrome turn signal bulbs so for now the egg yolks will do. also i did not put that clear lens at the top back in, and the little reflector in front of the turn signal back in either.

one thing though is with the black vs chrome you will see more hazing and imperfections on the outer lens. mine have haze so ill try to get rid of it.

Oh man, I forgot to prime one of my headlights! I was so close to finishing that I totally forgot. Should I sand it down and reprime it? What would I have to do to go about this? Thank you very much! GUYS REMEMBER TO TAKE IT SLOW.
