So i know this is an uber long thread but i just tried to do my headlights. I did everything the instructions said. when i pulled it out of the oven it was extremly hard to get them lense off. I couldn't do it. i even busted out the flat head but noticed i was ruining the rubber around the light. now the inside of my light is covered in condinsation. i left it alone hopeing to get some answers tonight so i can try this again. I need my car back together before work on Monday.

Try to pull as much of it apart, and when it gets too difficult just throw it back in the oven for 2~3 minutes. I hope that help.

I finished my right headlight earlier today. Its not so bad once you jump into it. I took a break and ran some arens. Now i'm starting on my left headlight. This left one is going alot easier than my right. Thanks for the "how-to!"

they are both installed and looking good. the only thing i wish i would have done is wait for the damn silicone to dry before i installed them. My left ight only took about 30 mins. this was fairly easy. I'll post pics later on in the week. I'm literally sitting in my garage right now trying to install a bunch of different things.

Good luck guys! For those of you with 06's, don't forget to do the STi replica clear projector lens upgrade. Best mod you'll ever do for the money IMO. I recommend it to every set of lights I do and for every car.

thx again
Hey Laosifu, your thread helped me one year ago when I pulled apart my '03 headlights (to relace the orange reflector) And I finally got my hands on a '06 headlight and finally did what I've always wanted to do.
Before with Black Reflector inside headlight
And NOW ...
Paint: Flat Black (High Temp paint +500' farieghnheight)
I went with Flat Black instead of Gloss Black because:
- I wanted a stealth look "stealth bomer"
- It compliments my CF pieces
Thanks again to Laosifu; and... yes I know my car has some similarites with Nitrouz not at all trying to replicate or copy styles, just love the black on black look! Thx
