What I need to do now is to make the car to think there is always someone seated in the seat. How? I'm not sure yet. I probably need to alter the voltage using a resistor.
Thanks bro, ill try to do this and hopefully it will work. The one that is blinking on my gauges wil not go away. I found the thread on how to remove it, but it didn't work. Is there a procedure for the HR's. Again thanks alot.

I think the procedure is same for all model years, but, the warning light will keep blinking even after reset until you fix the source of error.

Thought I'd add to this thread as I just installed my powered seats. You don't need to hack up the factory wiring of the seat to get them to power. Flip them over, and 2 of the 4 wires into the factory seat plug are black & red (power & ground). Hook these up, get yourself some nice terminated insulated blade connectors, and you can have a factory like connection without cutting your seat wiring. Did this and both of my power seats worked great, both the slide rail and the back portion. This does not cover the heaters as I have not done them yet.

Yes, your method works for most power/heated seats. But passenger side ventilated seat is just a different animal.

By the way, does anyone know which of two heated seats wires for which?

does anyone know if the 350z seat wiring and the g35 seat wiring are different? I'm having a hell of a time figuring out how to wire up my G seats (in a maxima). They have a seat control module and all kinds of technology. The motor wires go to the control unit and so do the switch wires, I tried powering the control unit but no luck.

any pictures of the Z seat wiring? it sounds alot simpler.

nevermind, it wasn't that complicated but the actual switch itself does not work. wtf.

Hey great write up.

Got a question for any of you if you can answer it.
bought a pair of 06 leathers, planning on putting them in this weekend.

does anyone have pictures of the wiring setup underneath the leather seats?
seems like mine is all messed up and the wires are all over the place from the previous owner (he said he was trying to fit them in his 240sx or something).

just need something to compare with. I noticed the passenger seat has a white box underneath it, does the driver seat need one as well? :/

I have the same dilemma here... I want to either buy katzin leather seat covers to replace on my 08 base Z or buy factory OEM leather seats, side airbags power/heated seats.

? is, how do you hook up the power/heated seats, and the SIDE AIRBAGS? can this be done if I buy the heater switch and harness etc from Nissan? This might be very pricey though. Let me know what you guys think. THanks!

Ok I really want to add this mod! I have a set of OEM Nissan 350z switches for the heated seats. Pics below. I was wondering if I could use them, instead adding aftermarket switches for that OEM. I took the switch apart and this is what it looks like.

I also have this wiring harness which I cant obviously use since my base model doesn't have the proper connections (and if they did no one would ever be doing this mod) So I was thinking I could cut off the plugs that plug into the OEM switch and wire these OEM switches up

The colors from left to right white, red, green, gray, black, light blue

Sorry, I can't really help you with the factory switches. They are wired differently than my setup, and without having them in front of me to test I couldn't tell you what each connection is for. You can always open up the service manual and trace the wiring, though.

Just look in the service manual for the year of car you took the switches from. The service manual can be found here (without spaces): http://www. m y 3 5 0 z .com/zwiki/Service:Index

thats not a working web site. even without the spaces. I'm going to try to find a service manual tomorrow. Lets get this install working with OEM buttons so everyone else can have that clean OEM look!
