DIY for stock non-Brembo to stock Brembo brakes
#67
hello,
i have a question about fitting a brembo kit for my "non brembo 350z".
I have found brembo calipers http://www.allegro.pl/show_item.php?item=903237907
and i want to be sure that;s everything i need to do the conversion.
As far as i can understand from this topic to do the conversion in front i don't need nothing more than only calipers?
the guy is selling only the callipers, brake discs and pads. will it fit whithout any problems.
So far i want to have brembos only in front.
Do i need something more than is on that auction?
i will be greatfull for any answers.

Make sure you get rotors as well. One thing I'm not sure about is if the stock non brembo brake lines will attach to the brembo calipers. I know the brake lines are different from the inner fender well attachment to the caliper. Find out if those will work or if you need the brake lines. I just upgraded to braided lines when I did this so I had no issues.

by rotors you mean brake discs? 'cause i am not not sure if i understood well and i can't find exact definition of "rotor".

Hi everyone, i am a new member and i hope i'm in the right place.
About the non brembo conversion into brembo for 350z, i bought
both front and rear brembo caliper off gtr34 and the front fits just
fine, but there's no way to fit it at the rear, my mechanics tried gtr33's
brembo as well. Will the brembo from 350z fits a non brembo 350z at the rear?

This is probably a silly question, but thought I'd ask it anyway. Where can I get the rubber caps to cap off the brake line when I disconnect it? Are they special? Looks just like tire caps to me.

Great write up Michla22, I just did this conversion today and all went pretty smooth. Breaking loose the stock caliper bolts were a major PITA! Especially the rear cuz I didn't have enough room to get any kind of leverage. Had to use brute force to get them off.
And the rubber bleeder caps worked very well in capping off the brake line. Nice tip!

Thanks guys. Yeah I didn't go into the bleeding bc there are plenty of other posts on that. What I may do is just add a link on the first post to a DIY bleeding. Personally I use a motive bleeder, makes life easy.

stoptech line routing - rubbing
I'm having issues with the new Stoptech SS line rubbing on the control arm.. especially with the wheel turned. Any suggestions? How is the banjo bolt in relation to the caliper? (these are OEM Brembos.. in need of touch up paint.. long story). This is the passenger side with steering turned almost all the way left.. steering unwound a bit by itself)
