Yeah the step lip is dusty.... I know

I painted the rotors flat black, they had scratches and rust so it looks fresh!

They look real good "350z Now" I actually just did mine the other day also. I actually did the same steps you did, with the exception of the paint removar. I primered them with a white also but painted em purple. I actually like the way they came out. Ill post pics of mine probably tomorrow if i get a chance. Im just looking for the brembo decals...where did you get your by chance?? Thanks, and again...good job!!

looks great! good job! I would do this if my car rocking the blacked out theme, red calipers and red lug nuts will create a great contrast.

I ordered it from Brembo, took a while to ship. They are the exact measurement.

I'm not sure what you're asking me, but all 4 Brembo calipers paint are in great condition, no flaws, no problems from beginning.

Looks good. I just did something very similar to your process on my Stoptechs. DIY soon to come.

Did the clear coat finish ever get a tint of yellow? I heard the brake heat makes it react and shifts colors?

1 st off good job and thanks for making this thread.

I have a few questions:

-Did you have to strip the paint off, why not just sand the orange paint down a bit just to give the red paint something to stick to.

-Is the primer necessary, and if so because it is not high heat primer how will it hold up.

-How will the red paint hold or how has it held up, since its not high heat paint.

-How long did you want to sand and polish the clear coat, what did you use to polish it?

thanks

kevin
