I am having my dad make these. Still finding the perfect method of cutting, titanium is some tuff sht. I have a 03 touring, found a set of dual piston 06 calipers for basically nothing, front and rear. Too poor to buy a BBK. Took some trial and error figuring out how to bend it without weakening it or breaking. But I think we have it. Let me know what you think

Dang, I just bought some Ti Alloy ones from http://www.tispeed.com/

 

Cheapest route I found was to make them myself, plus they only make the shims for Brembos. So I had to make them for my non-brembo setup.

 

Right, easier for me since I have Brembo.

What did u use to cut the Ti so nicely? I want to make a shield as well..

I used a shear at work to get them close and went back with dremel and grinding wheel

I haven't seen non Brembo brakes in a long time but if I am not mistaken the visibility is very minimum.

Exactly, these are not for looks, these are for function. If they are titanium, won't they look titanium?

 

i want to make a spacer for the mounting of the clutch cylinder on the trans. reducing heat transfer from the clutch to the cylinder will prevent a nasty feeling clutch. I'll try this out this summer.

Thread resurrection, but anyone know how thick a titanium sheet you could/should get in between the pad and calliper piston on Brembos? 1, 2, 3mm??
