Default Tein CS Problems

Ok heres the problem I've had my Tein CS coilovers installed since May of this year I wasn't having any problems with them at all untill about last month and what seems to be happening is when driving down bumpy roads it sound like the rear passenger spring/purch is loose and making knocking sounds, so I had it checked out to see if they where installed incorrectly but the mechanic I brought it to said they were installed correctly and they couldnt figure out why it was making noises, we checked the shocks to see if the we making the noises(if they were blown) but they were fine. This may sound stupid but it seems in the morning when its colder out it knocks alot more then in the afternoon when it warmer out, did anyone have this problem with these coilovers making knocking noises or know what this sound can be coming from?

Did you check the upper shock mount? There may be something loose up there? Maybe a bolt broke? Make sure those 2 bolts that hold the upper shock mount to the chassis of the car is torqued to 21 ft-lbs. Those are factory torque specs. You'll probably have to take off your rear wheel to check if your car is lowered quite a bit.

I had the same problem with my CS's. But I also replaced the upper A arm with an adjustable one. It turned out to be a loose ball joint in the upper A arm. There was no visible play in it but you could hear it rattle when it was pulled on. I had it replaced and all is fine.

I remember seeing a TSB for the 350z regarding noise coming from the front suspension. The solution was to re-torque the bolts holding the upper A arm. If the shocks are fine, I would check the upper and lower joints for any play.

the sound is coming from the rear passenger side so It cant be coming from the a-arms

they tighted it to make sure it was tight but that wasnt the problem cause its still making the noises.

Z1 you think you can take a look at this week and install front and rear camber kit while your at it?

Perhaps its the spring perch and not the shock at all. I would remove both and check everything out.
