Default Question regarding StopTech brakes

Is the big brake kit offered by StopTech using a built-from-scratch caliper unit, or is it an OEM design from another make/model which has been adapted to the 350Z?

I read through that thread earlier which prompted me to post this query originally.

I have been casually following StopTech on www.TwinTurbo.net after Luke at TireRack gave us all a heads up. Also, having read the SCC article when StopTech added their brake kit to the 350Z, I couldn't help buy think that another caliper design had been adapted to accommodate the new Z in such a short time.

Perhaps this query would be better directed towards Luke at TireRack. Thanks.

Seems like it should be directed toward StopTech.
