Brake pads and rotors FYI if you dont want to have noisey brakes

When you get new rotors and or new brake pads you should always get the rotors turned.
Never install used brake pads on your car. When you get new rotors have them turned by a proffessional, and when you get them home wash them with dawn dish soap and use a nylon brissel brush ie. a larger version of a fingernail brush.
Scrub both sides of the rotors with the soap and water to get out the fine metal particals buffed into the rotors; so scrub them throughly, and let them dry completely.
By following this process you will have quiet brakes. A good combination on the Z is Brembo cross drilled rotors and Hawk HS brake pads. You cant put together a better combination for incredible performing brakes that are quiet, with no brake dust.
You really have to drive a Z extremely hard on a racetrack to damage or break crossdrilled rotors. Most of us will not crack drilled rotors; even on the track.
Steel braided lines are a necessity if you dont want mushy brakes.
Solid or slotted rotors will make some noise compared to drilled which make no noise if you follow my routine.

I appreciate your input. What do you mean by old brake material? New rotors do not come with old material, please explain.

Talk to any break specialist and they will tell you if you dont want noise turn your new rotors. If you remove the factory coating only, and dont turn them, the brakes will work fine; they will just make noise.
Many members complain about brake noise. This thread is to show you how to get noise free brakes. My set up and instructions guarantees great noise free brakes.

Were talking 1/128 of metal being removed to have quiet brakes.
I know what Im talking about because I have done it both ways; Ill say it again. I posted this thread to explain a sure fire way to eliminate noise, with a great combination of rotors and pads for track model Brembos, which commonly make noise.
When I installed new Brembo rotors and had only scrubbed off the protective film with new pads, still made noise after a short while. At least here in Las Vegas.
After having a miniscule amount removed from the rotor( and thats why I stated) "use a proffessional" absolutely no brake noise.
