Default Any Track Z owners with brembo drilled/slotted rotors?

Any of the track model owners replace the rotors, but kept the OEM brembo calipers?

Pictures would be appreciated.

I just bought a set of RH J8's. The spokes are very thin, so it exposes a lot of the rotor.

(sorry for stealing the picture synth)

It kind of looks barren to me, so I was thinking of going with slotted or drilled rotors. I auto-X often and plan to go to my first HPDE this year, so they won't be just for show.

My first choice is to go with the Brembo slotted or drilled rotors. But they are gold, so i'm not sure how they will look with the OEM gold caliper and the gunmetal spokes.

Stillen offers these bad boys for direct rotor replacement:

Or I could go with the stop-tech silver rotor replacements. Any other ideas and feedback would be appreciated.

PS: A BBK is out of the question.

I have the stillen/DBA rotors, I know the caliper is darker it happens from heat at track events, thought I would say that before all of the questions.

Taken at a local meet - Stillen rotors. Sorry for the large pics but I wanted to show the details. Looks pretty sweet to me and the brembos match the rotor hats fairly well. This car is a garage queen though so it hasn't seen the track - no caliper discoloration.

If you are going do auto-x and track events often, you might want to look at the 2 piece rotors from dba (front only) and stoptech.

I would not recommend the brembo replacement rotors or any cross drilled rotor. I had them on my 95 Legend Coupe and they have nice bit, but they shake when applying the brake and after more miles they shake even more. At first I thought it could be the pads, so the company sent me new ones and it still shook. Your best bet is to go with Stoptech 2 peice floating rotors. The solid faced rotors are the best for stopping power b/c you have more pad contect with the rotor. And the 2 piece rotors will cool better then any other rotor for the Z. No lie.

I have not had any problems with shaking and it has been about 1 1/2 years now.

I put those on my Honda, and the Gold will only last for the first day you drive the car. THen the brake pads will take the gold coating right off and they will be the same color as any other rotor. I had no issues with their cross drilled rotors, and I currently have no issues with my Stoptech cross drilled rotors. So don't let stories about cross drilled rotors scare you.
