The car looks fine, definately lowered in the back. Did you do a before and after ride height measurement to see how much lower it is?

Nothing should be removed if I remember correctly. The spring is repaced with the coilover in the rear. Do you have the spring perch down as far as it will go?

Yea, I basically have the rear all the way down, but it is low enough for me. I believe the max drop in the rear is like 1.1 or 1.3 inches.

If being low is all you care about you could have just had your springs cut. The back is really simple to install. I can't think of any common thing that could have been done wrong.

DO NOT CUT THE COILS!!! You will either weaken the springs or raise the effective spring rate. Tein basic's can only deal with a very tiny increase in spring rate, given the shape of owner reviews, frankly I would only consider lowering the rate, if at all a tiny amount.

Question I have, do these coilovers utilize the oem upper spring seat? If so, that is where you can lower the rear from, by modifying and if needed back filling with shims.

I wasn't telling him to cut the Basics. He was bitching about paying $800 and not being lower so I told him he could have cut the stock springs and been real low and saved alot of money IF that is all he cares about. I would never ACTUALLY recommend cutting your springs, haha.

you could try completely removing one or both of the adjustable pieces. that would give you another 1/2 to 3/4 inch drop.

If you just did the install, give it some time and everything will settle down. I installed these in a friend's Z and he was pissed since the rear was still too high (for him). It sat overnight and there was a noticeable drop after everything settled.
