Default Tein S-Tech installed *Pics

I just installed my Tein S-Tech springs. The ride is so much better than stock. I like the drop, not too low where my camber is totally off. But with my drop, I think an alignment shop might be able to get my camber near factory specs. Here are some before and after pics.

Overall, the springs look good! If anyone looking to buy just springs, I would suggest going with Tein if you dont want it too low to throw off your camber.

Your car looks beautiful. The drop really enhances the tire/wheel package. I can see from the photos that the tires are Toyo. What are the wheels? /tire sizes? It's a really great looking set up.

I am running Toyo TS-1's 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. The Tein S-Tech drops it .7" front and .6" rear. I am sure it will settle in a couple of weeks. So the rear might sag a little more. Thanks for the comments guys!

Default Springs

It would have been great to show a sie-by-side comparo with pics. Don't you think.

I was actually expecting the car to look lower at some point...

Hopeful thinking.

Anyway, the car does look good. I think I am going with the Hotchkis springs pretty soon though.

Good Luck with yours and keep the feedback on the springs up-to-date.
I would love to know how they feel. (If at all different)

the tein's are nice but it doesn't lower the rear much imo. i got the hotchkis and i have a finger gap all-around.

This is the exact topic I am debating right now. I just ordered my rims and they are 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 and I want to lower it but I don't want to have any rubbing issues. I've been debating over getting the Teins or the Eibachs. I was going to get the NISMO setup but I can't really justify the cost considering you can get a spring/shock setup for about half the price. I'm starting to lean towards getting the Teins since they lower it about the same amount as the NISMO setup.

Hey cquence 350 [Z], what rim set up do you have?

I have 19x9.5R/19x8.5F I would have gotten the 10.5's but didnt want to roll my fenders in order for it to fit without rubbing. I just got the Tein S-Tech springs. They are great for the price. I can see the rears settling in a bit.

Does the Tein springs significantly eliminates the bounce and give a much better ride comfort. I was thinking of going either S. or H. which is better?

I heard that lowering your car messes with some of the computer stuff in the car. like the sensors or something? Is this true?

Default looks great

Your car looks real good man!! I really apreciate your post with the great photos. really helped me out alot. I also have a CS Z. My 19 inch GT7 in gm will be here in April I hope. I have also been researching springs. I dont want to spend the money and get coil overs yet. I am debating Tein S tech vs Hotchkis TVS1 kit. Only reason I may go with Hotchkis set is that you get great sways front and rear for about 390$ with the springs. Not to much more considering I dropped 3g on rimz and tires. lol What can I expect to pay for instal of springs only or springs and sways? avg. Also will any decent tire shop do the install on spring or would my normal mechanic be able to do that for me? Im not much of a mechanic my self and wouldnt dare putting them on myself. Thanks, BEN

I am still on my stock shocks. Havent replaced it yet but the ride quality is so much better than stock. Got rid of the bunny hop. Thanks bstansbu, it is not that hard to do the install on springs. There is lots of DIY instructions floating around. I am not much of a mechanic myself, but I accomplished this with no problems at all. You can take it to Les Schwab, they do suspension work and also is good with alignment which you will have to get. They can correct the rear cambers perfectly to manufacturer's spec. But the front is not adjustable so you might need a camber kit.

Looks great!

I just installed my new wheels/tires last night and I'm dropped on Hotchkis Springs and have no problems with rubbing, etc (see my new thread) - but I have a different question: where did you get the drilled/slotted rotors for the OEM brakes? I was thinking of upgrading to a 13" BBK, but yours look amazing! Pm me if you want...

You can get a rotor/brake line/pad/fluid upgrade from Performance nissan. It fits the non brembo set up, and comes in slotted or drilled and slotted.
