Default SCCA Springs

Has anyone installed the nismo race spring set (SCCATouring 2) over OEM shocks? I know the spring rates are insanely high for the street. If so. what results? My Roadster is mostly street but ocassionally track, with Stillen sways, Prothane bushings, nismo wheels and SO3 245/18;275/18. A harsh daily street ride doesn't bother me too much. I'm a lot more interested in flat-out cornering, and confidence in the southern Az backroad twisties.

This won't sound I'm NOT out to be mean, but only a fool would run springs that are almost 100% stiffer then oem springs on oem shocks. The oem shocks will not be able to effect any sort of proper control, ride and drive quality will be very poor as will be the ultimate performance of the suspension. Spring rates that high should only be considered because your testing path show's you need them. Don't even consider the shocks unless you call Koni and ask to speak to Gordon and ask him if the Koni sport's have enough rebound control to handle 600/690 spring rates. I got the impression from talking to him yesterday that he'll say they can, though I only asked about 448lbs spring rates.

Gsedan35,
the specs that I have are 625lb front and 700lb rear, that information is from Nissan Comp.

JcPeyton,
no way you can run these springs without shocks built for them, cheapest route is to follow Gsedan35's advice and call Koni, otherwise you are looking at custom Penske or JRZ shocks which are big $$
