Project Mu B-Force pads produce about the same brake dust as Hawk HPS pads but it definitely bites lot better

Hey, are these pads available for the non-brembo setups found on the enthusiast model?

Yes they are. Check on the web page which I posted on this tread. I don't have Brembo's either. I have Roadster Touring Model so they are regular brakes.

The same as you...B force

I think they would be excellent agressive street pads because they give superior braking power and have streetable properties like low dust. They do squeak a little, but I don't mind that. I bedded them in before going to the track, but sriving on the street will wear this layer off. This would probably be more true for a strictly track racing compound pad.

I just got the project mu NS break pads for 70 bucks shipped. How do these compare to the b-force ones?

I think B-Force is one level higher than NS. NS is for street & B-Force is between street & track.(just my thought)

By the way, how do you like the NS pads?

Can you post some inputs regarding the NS Pads?

Performance?
Dust?
Squeel?
Summary?

Here's 2 week and 2 day update on Project Mu B-Force Pads.

Noise: Only had 3 squeeks for couple of seconds in last 2 weeks. I don't consider this an issue considering I did not turn my rotors. Even my previous Hawk HPS had squeeks here and there.

Dust: Very Low. Its about same as Hawk HPS, maybe 5% more if that(No Issue)

Performance: This pad bites like crazy. This performs way better than Hawk HPS. I don't even have to press on the brakes that much on normal stop and when make a hard stop, you will notice a big difference in performance.

Over all, Its best pads I used so far.
(Stock, Satisfied Ceremic, Hawk HPS & Project Mu B-Force)

Once again, I am definitly going to use these pads in the future.

(NOTE: The summary of the brake pads are my own PERSONAL experiances and opinions. Experiances and opinions may vary from person to person. I am not trying to promote any one particular product nor putting any product down. If you have different experiances or opinions you are more than welcome post.)

After this very informative thread, the debate between Hawk/Satisfied is finished: I ordered Project Mu B-Force from projectnissan.com!

My main motivations to go with Mu was because of:
1) No sqeaking (as yet reported)
2) Better bite than stock

Question here then: can I just leave the rear pads alone or should I go with an all around upgrade? The stock pads seem to be doing just fine, but then again, I have never had a car long enough to know the best course of action for brake replacement!!!

Thumbs up

Here is 3rd week update on the Project Mu B-Force Pads.

It has been 3 weeks since I installed Project Mu B-Force Brake Pads.

Here is updated summary of the pads.

1. Dust: I noticed a little more dust with this pad than Hawk HPS. I would say about 10% more brake dust than Hawk HPS instead of 5% which I mentioned on 2 week update. It still produces far less brake dust than stock.

2. Noise: I do hear a little squeaks here and there but nothing major. I woud say I hear a couple sqeaks per day for very short period of time (1-2 seconds). Once again nothing Major. Remember, I DID "NOT" turn my rotors. That may be the cause of the squeak.

3. Performance: This brake pad definitely stops on "DIME". The performace is great. Once again, the perfomance on this brake is great. It bites like crazy. I feel like I have upgraded brake kit. It definitely out performs Hawk HPS, Satisfied Ceremic, and stock.

Summary: Once again, this is the best brake pads I used so far. Even though it may produce little more dust than Hawk HPS, the performance is well worth it. As for very very minor squeaks, I think the cause is, the fact I did not turn my rotors.

I replace all 4 pads on mine but I think it would be OK to replace just the front 2 pads. When braking, front brakes do most of the work.

In my situation with Hawk HPS (I had front & rear), I noticed that front pads had about 50% left but rear was 95% gone. This tells me that front pads were not doing its job which forced rear to wear out more.

I think I will go with all 4 repalcement pads then.. just to be on an even schedule with replacement. Thanks for the info man!
The greater bite and less dust are what sold me here. Keep us updated as the weeks go by

Great post and very timely since I am going to replace my current NISMO pads for my Brembos.

I am not sure what is sold in the US ... but comparing with the Project MU chart from the Japanese site as posted by flyboi12ichie ...

I am thinking of going with the Level MAX 9000 pads .. top-of-the-line from sports to racing.

Link to Japan website in English ....

I am getting my B-Force pads on Thursday!! Have an appointment at the dealer to have them installed on Friday.. is there any extra parts needed for the install, or do they bolt right in? I don't want to get to the dealer and have them tell me that they don't fit or something b/c of a missing part!!!

Should I upgrade my brake fluid too? If so, what do you guys recommend?

Finally, do you think these will wear as good as stock, or am I going to be replacing sooner?
