Default ****Need advice on new rotors and brake pad replacement.****

The time has come to change my Front brake pads at (18,500mi). I started hearing the faint squeal about a week ago and decided enough, I don't want ruin my rotors. So I called the dealership and asked how much to change the Front pads? They said to change the Front pads and grind the rotors was $275. So then I said to myself, there has to be a better deal! So I went to PepBoys and bought the Hawk HPS front pads for $65 figuring I might as well get better pads. Then I got to thinking...I could install the pads myself and just buy new rotors (X-out having to get them ground by someone else). So I did a forum search on a particular brand of Rotors and found nothing. This is where I need your input

Has anyone ever heard, seen, or purchased aftermarket rotors from ROTORPROS.com?

I am tempted to buy slotted / cross drilled rotors of EBAY from ROTORPROS.com for $220 shipped and just change the pads myself. Now that I see it's not too hard. Total cost for a set of 4 ROTORs and PADs would be around $340, plus my labor----VS---- dealership...$404 install + $120 pads = $524!

Opinions...?

I have 2005 Z with 1100 miles on front rotors.
Just replaced with Stoptech kit.

Will sell you these like new rotors.

Thanks zman2, but if I'm going to buy new rotors they're going to be cross drilled and slotted...

I called PepBoys and they will do the front swap and grind for $120...$82 less than Nissan. So, I just need to decide what to do soon... From what I have read, I am not 100% certain those ROTORPRO rotors are trouble free. So they may be out of the equation at this point, unless someone give me some good news?

How about Rotora Rotors & Project Mu B-Force Pads.

I currently have them both and I really love them.
Rotora Rotors are strong and very well made. Also as for Pads, Go with Project Mu B-Force Pads. They are little more pricey but they grip crazy. I use to have Hawk HPS up until couple of weeks ago and I swiched it to Project Mu B-Force Pads. Between the 2 pads, I would definitely go with Project Mu B-Force.

Dust: they produce about the same

Noise: I didn't have any issues with either one of them. I know some people have some issues with brake noise on the Hawks.

Performance: Project Mu performs much better than stock pads and with Hawk HPS, pads you will loose some performance vs stock pads.
