im thinking about getting either the hotchkis or cusco sways. obviously, the cusco is a good bit more expensive. is there an appreciable difference between the two, or am i just throwing money away with the cusco.

I was gonna do Cusco (cuz I prefer solid) but I want an adjustable rear bar as I dont want to much oversteer. My current JIC set-up handles really well-after some shock fine tuning this weekend at the dragon. Im likely gonna get Hotchkis bars as they are adjustable and inexpensive.

My Hotchkis sway bars arrived today. They are the new ones with the four way adjustable front. I was surprised to see thier recommendations were still for the old ones (three way adjustable and different stiffnesses). I have done a number of searches and found two recommendations for the NEW sways:
#1) F: Second stiffest (+82%) R: Softest (+80%)
#2) F: Stiffest (+129%) R: Middle (+125%)
I know the only way to really know is to install and try. Just seeing if there is consensus out there for a good/smart starting point.
Other specs of potential importance: 19s, 245/275 setup, lowered 0.6" with RS*R Ti2000s.

Many people with the Hotchkis bars start with both of them on soft (since they are both still stiffer than stock even on the softest settings), then crank them up from there for fine tuning. I ended up going with both of mine on medium and I like the way they perform on the twisties with the stock springs. Where you end up with your's will depend on other suspension mods you've made. If you've already installed springs which increase the rear stiffness a lot, then you may prefer the swaybars to be medium in the front and soft in the rear.

ok, I know the differences in solid vs hollow swaybars have been discussed, but it's always in relation to max stiffness...
my question is, if it was measured that both bar types had the same exact stiffness, we will say 125% over stock, is there a difference in the action of the swaybar? does one feel better than the other, one have a slight delay where it deforms then stiffens, etc.
I like the idea of hollow for the fact of the weight savings... my friend has the Evo bars and they feel like 40lbs!!

Intalled the Tanabe Rear Sway bar and its a night and day difference. The car feels so much more stable and planted. Body roll is pretty much eliminated and all around the car feels alot sportier. I would have to say that the say bar improved handling of the vehicle more than the coilovers that i previously installed. Props to Tanabe for a Great Product!!!

Anyone actually know the numbers for the Stillen bars???? I cant find them posted anywhere , just the " up to 70% stiffer " I'm trying to set up a friends car , I know the rates my car has with my Hotchkis for a good strarting point.

My hotchkis arrive today, I have the Tein Spring (the ones that not drop much) which set up do I put? also my car have around 600 whp and I use it for street racing... any help on which hole to put the sway bars will be very helpful...

Thanks! I put the front sway bar on the first hole to test it because I feal the Teins a little stiff, back sway is in the first ones... If I change back to the stock springs, which holes do I put both of then?
