Default Brembo upgrade??

I need a little help. I have a 2003 performance model, I am going to upgrade to the Brembo brakes and I have a few questions. 1) Will the Brembos fit under my non-rays, standard 18" rim? 2) Besides the calipers and the rotors what else might I need to make the switch? Any and all help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

As for the fitting I think they should be able to snug in there.
What comes in the kit is complete the calipers and rotors, other then that a steel braided brake line would be a nice add.

they will fit. you need to use the same mounting bolts that are on your car now. the rear has a different thread pitch on brembo cars, but the threads are on the car, and not on the brakes.

Also, you will either need to remove the rear dust shields or trim them. trimming them is easiest.

Other than that, its a piece of cake.

You might as well look more into stop tech...

PM me...

You can do a 14.1" front and 13.0 Rear kit for less then the cost of the factory brembo set up...

it will also be a superior kit and replacement rotors are much cheeper...

I am planning on doing the same. I have an 05 touring, and I want to upgrade to the Brembo brake kit front and back. An online retailer stated that my rims might not have enough room for the calipers. I have 20 x 8 1/2 front and 20 x 10 in the rear. I am open to suggestions and hope the question isnt repetetive.

Powdercoaster mentioned something about the dust cover. Does another dust cover have to be installed in placeof the stock? Are there any major modifications. Nissan wants 1200 per wheel to install the brembo brakes not to include the rotors.

I am also having problems finding a rear Brembo brake kit.

One last question, which works better or would you prefer the 332mm rotor oe the 355mm?

No one can answer this question unles you tell us which Brembo's you r upgrading to. Is it the Gran Tourismo brake upgrade or the Nissan "track edition" Brembo brakes.

As far as I know Brembo only makes a front brake upgrade. The back will be a custom application.

$1,200 for just installation? This doesn't include parts?

For a 20" wheel you have to go with the 355, or even a 380.

Default Brembo reply

I have found a set of used factory Brembos. It is off a 2004 G35 coupe. I paid $600.00 for everything.

Yes it is the Gran Turismo that I am looking at. So if Brembo on makes a front brake kit what is that in on the 350z track rear wheels. It makes sense, sine i have yet to find them on the internet.

The Gran Tourismo front caliper is different from the "track" brembo caliper. You need to call Brembo USA and ask about a rear 350Z application. The dealer is asking waaaaay too much money for the "track" rear brakes. If you track the car the rear Brembos on the "track" z are worthless. I'm sure Brembo has somethin g to offer you. They can always help you part with your money. That's what's nice about the StopTech 4 wheel kit. You get 4 wheel 355mm brakes 4-4 piston callipers all for less than $4000. And it proven to work with the stock master cylinder.

I found them on car-parts.com. I talked to the junkyard that sold them to me, and the engine is now in the trunk of the car that they are off of. I guess the telephone pole won. What are the factory Brembo's called off of the 350z?
