Default How do you remove slide pin from brembo calipers?

Sup guys, just wondering how to remove the slide pin to get to the pads on the brembos. Do you slide them away from you or pull them towards you? I pulled the cotter pin out but I couldn't get the slide pins out for some reason.

You have to push down on the metal piece, it acts like a spring putting pressure on the pin/rod so it wont slide out in the event the cotter pin breaks or is left off, so just push down on it with a crew driver to relieve the pressure and you shoould be able to slide it out, can't remember which way but I think it goes towards the side where the cotter pin is.

pull the cotter pins out, you can either do like the above post and release some of the pressure, or use a nail (the flat side) or anything thin that will fit and tap lightly, it will push out easily. The cotter pin side is the side which will start coming out, the other side is the smaller hole side, where you will insert a nail or whatever to push out the rod.

Yup, all you have to do is push down on the spring. Thanks for the help guys.
