What is needed to fix Brembos from track to touring?

Default What is needed to fix Brembos from track to touring?

Friend totaled his Z and I want to know what are the parts I need to get the swap done Will I be needing the brake lines as well or can I do without them??

you will need:
bolts for the rear calipers
brake lines (I would suggest upgrading the lines and buying SS lines)
Rear backing plates (You could just cut or modify the ones on your car)

I would take advantage and get a set of SS brake lines, and all you need is to make sure you get the rear mounting bolts as they are different and you will have to remove or trim the rear brake guard to allow for the bigger rotor.

Ok, but can I just do with my stock brake lines?

You should be able to but the Brembo's are different, as the stock ones use a bolt with a fitting while the Brembo's screw into the caliper at the end of the line.

I say they should work because the Stoptech SS lines work on both stock and Brembo calipers although I like the way the Brembo lines screw in less chance for leaks the other type you have to use the brass washers to creat the seal.
