email those pictures to Crawford, I'm more than sure that Doug will get a fix for that. If not for the current ones but at least for the future ones...

Yeah, I'm suprised nobody has done so already since these things have been out for some time now.

Mine rubs in two places as well. I purchased some automotive weatherstripping and put it on the hood where it rubs. Haven't had problems since.

I sent Doug a link to this thread.

My bar arrived yesterday and I'll put it on tomorrow. Will post the results.

Good to hear! Hmm? Perhaps they fixed this already with the new releases or the rubbing only appears after a certain period of time. Keep us posted on this...

+1. I didn't notice the rubbing for a week or so. Just in one spot and a small strip of weather stripping seems to have taken care of it.

Doug responded back stating that the strutbar kit is supposed to come with a weather strip for this reason.
Mine however did not include one, but no biggie I pick some up at home depot.

Nice! Guess my proposed quick fix ended up being the official fix for this. Thanks...

Wonder if they'll ever come out with a V2 that will fix this issue without the need for weather strips...

Also, this is probably why the APS strut bar is slightly curved instead of straight. Just wished this thing was cheaper though .

That is BS, I have never heard of anybody mentioning they had a weather strip when speaking of their STB install. It would have been nice to know I needed it before the damn thing fuked up my hood, I could care less about the scratch on the damn STB....
