Default Big Brake kits and stuff.

Does anybody make a BBK for the fronts with slotted or solid (not vented) discs for around $1,200? I believe the cheapest I have found were about $1,800.

Is there a company that makes Calipers that work with the factory rotors?

Trying to see if there is an effordable way to spiff up at least the front brakes without having to spend a lot of cash just for looks. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense to upgrade the brakes when your happy with the stock performance but it does look so much better.

Most likely I couldn't bring myself to spend money like that on cool looking brakes but was curious anyway.

If you're doing for Track driving, then i think the cheapest might be some custom wilwood calipers.

you'd save alot more money and heart-ache if you're just looking for improved street performance by buying a better set of brake pads, SS lines, and maybe two piece rotors that are slotted....

are you going for looks?

Also remember that brakes are for stopping the car so you don't necessarily want something built by the lowest bidder in charge of 3200lbs and your life.

If you just want to improve the look, paint the stock calipers and get some slotted/vented rotors.

Our big brake kit uses stock calipers, and extended brackets to fit in bigger rotors. I have posted in another thread some of the features, you can read here:

If this is for the track I would not recommend anything utilzing the stock calipers such as the above or even the stock Brembos.

You would be better off with something like STOPTECH's for the track.

We will have a 4-piston brake kit available specifically for the 350Z/G35 in a few weeks. I will be releasing more information on this kit in the future, but with our 4-piston upgrade for the front, and the current rear upgrade we offer now, the brake system will be well balanced and very powerful for heavy track racing / street driving at an affordable price.
