Default HELP! Caliper

I just got brakes installed yesterday. KVR rotors and SS lines. I'm driving really gently until they are worked in. My dad noticed this morning that the rear caliper is about 1mm away from touching the rotors. Looks like as soon as the pad wears down 1 mm...the caliper will grind against the rotor? Let me see if I can get a pic.

Is this supposed to be normal?

That outer part close to the rotor doesn't move, it is the piece on the inside of it on the pad itself that will move in when pads wear.

So I got nothing to worry about right? It looks so damn close. If I understand what you are saying correctly the pad on the inside of the rotor is the one that moves. But what about the pad on the outside? When it starts to wear down...are you saying it will readjust itself to move close to the rotor so the caliper never touches the rotor?

thanks in advance

No everything I said was in relation to the outside pad.

What I mean is that the portion that is on the outside (red in the pic below) doesn't move, but the inside part (green in pic below) is what will pull or push the pad toward the disk so you are fine.
