Question Bleeding Brakes after Caliper Change (?)

Happy Monday...

One of these days, I will finally get around to installing the StopTech front brakes on my '04 Enthusiast (they are not doing much good in the boxes in the garage!)... not a difficult task at all, but I'm unsure if the rear brakes will need to be bled after opening up the system.

So what's the verdict? Will I need to bleed the rears after a front-only caliper change?

Thanks!

The only way to be certain you have all the air out is to bleed all four corner. If I was just doing the front calipers, I would bleed the front two first, just to fill them. Then start at the passenger side rear, then drivers rear, then hit the passenger front again, then the drivers front. Don't be lazy when bleeding brakes.

Yes, you DO have to bleed all four. The Z uses a diagonal system for brake lines, and your driver's ront is in system with the passenger's rear, and vice-versa. We verified this when we switched over to a manual dual master brake cylinder system. Blled all four.

Proper way to do this is to start with the right rear then left front then left rear and then right front per service manual.

Default bleeding sequence

The correct order to bleed brakes is as follows: LR RF RR LF. Not as reported in the above post.

Ooops. Correct!

Went on the theory that MPOWERS said start at one rear, and then cross to the other side front. Didn't even bother with the side to side starting point, but the manual does say to start with the left rear....
