Default Questions for Tein Basic users

I just wanted to ask the Tein Basic users how much of a difference over stock is it? And would you need camber arms to get back to stock camber specs? The reason im asking is because im seeing if i should get the basics or save for the flexs....BTW im never going FI...TIA

Three things to keep in mind.

1. There is no camber adjustment in the front of a Z, so no matter what suspension you go with, you will not be able to change the camber back to stock without getting aftermarket upper control arms.

2. Getting the car back to stock specs will then depend on how much you lower the car. The more you lower it, the more negative camber you will get. If you go too low in the rear, you will also need aftermarket parts to try and get back to stock specs.

3. Whether you get the Flex or the Basic will have no impact on the above two items. The two coilovers offer different features but the physics of alignment wont change.

The Basics are a big improvement over stock, mainly due to much better dampening. Stiffer ride, but I wouldn't call it harsh and its fine for my daily drive. I would prefer adjustable dampening, but for the price its hard to beat. IMO Tein found a nice compromise between handling and comfort.

Not to add to anyone's confussion.

JDM Tein 350Z SS coilovers = Basics with adjustable dampning. Though the SS does get softer spring rates and progressive rear springs.

Big improvement. But with 19" rims with low profile tires and the Tein Basics... Rough roads are a no no.
