Your asking a trick question. Midway into 2004 north american market production Nissan made a running change or revision. So, some 2004 350Z's have 03/04 spring rates and some 2004 350Z's have 2005 spring rates. However, all 350Z roadsteer production from job one have the revised suspension with it's specific spring rates.

I have worked tirelessly to aquire oem suspension data and have had many owners lend me entire suspension's to test and measure so I can get accurate oem spring rate data. Without such generious help, we would not know what we know. Thanks to these owner's we have the hard data point's that we do. Including, 04.5 oem 350Z rates, 350Z roadsteer rates, both G35 coupe suspension's (still the source of much confusion because of Infiniti's marketing department calling the regular suspension, "sport tuned".) For oem 350Z 03/04 I own a suspension as well as both G35 sedan suspension's.

Once again here the list of all known north american 350Z and G35 oem spring rates

350Z 2003/2004
314/342

350Z 2004.5+ & 350Z roadsteer
314/427

G35 Coupe all production delivered on oem 17" and 18" wheels regardless of build year (known as the "sport tuned" suspension)
314/342

G35 Coupe if delivered on oem 19" wheels (known as the sport suspension)
314/427

G35 sedan with sport suspension
314/342

G35 sedan non sport
283/308

Gsedan,

Have you heard that people say the revised suspension does not handle as well? Or is this a myth. I went back to stock(03) recently and can't stand it. I was wondering if it would be worth while to pick up a cheap 4.5. I put RSR springs on and that made it a little better on the smooth, but now I can tell how bad the oem shocks are dampened. BTW, I appreciate all of the suspension reviews and info you have obtained and shared!

i dunno, but on the street the 4.5+ suspension sure felt better and had more traction than the 2003

Maybe on the track the 2003 is better, but I'd take the 4.5+ any day for the street
