sorry to jump in but i see a misunderstanding.
an alignment (whether $89 or not) isn't going to fix the camber problem on a 1.2 inch drop wihtout aftermarket hardware. maybe you're not reading the same response i am but i'll quote again for clarity

post #6 - atlsupdawg#2, and i quote "As for the front, camber isn't adjustable and I am well beyond the factory spec there but toe is perfect."

your quote - "some said alignment can pull the camber and toe back into factory spec"
please show me the link to someone who has lowered on tanabe springs and has achieved OEM alignment without aftermarket hardware?

with this car, any drop below 0.8 inch you will have alignment problems.

now if you will tolerate non-OEM specs that is another question

If negative camber bothers you, consider getting an alignment first. It is possible that the alignment shop could get it back within factory spec, however, you may still have some negative camber just not as much. Then, if you really want those tires straight, consider the Hotchkis rear camber and toe links or Stillen has a kit with both items.

My car is lowered about 1.5" and the shop was just barely able to get the rear back within factory spec. Also, negative camber will cause uneven tire wear not necessarily "excessive" tire wear. For uneven tire wear you can switch rear tires frequently to balance the wear and the tires will last longer.

Good luck,
Ron

With the amount of drop you have, the stock rear camber adjustment will not give you enough adjustment to get you back to spec. The Z has some factory rear adjustment but it is not much at all. The SPC rear camber/toe kit is the best kit IMO to go with. If I am not mistaken, the majority of Z and G owners use this kit.

Also, I would like to save you a bit of money. If you go to the alignment shop and they can't get you back to factory spec (which they most likely will not be able to), you will need to purchase a camber kit and then pay for ANOTHER alignment. This is a waste of money.

Also, please understand that you MUST get a professional alignment after installing the camber kit. I have seen many guys "eyeball" the alignment out home and then find out that it is way out of spec.

Hope this helps. PM me if you have any other questions.

omg... thx for jumping into this topic
plz just excuse my stupidity on suspension stuff...

So if I go for Tanabe GF210 spring (which give me 1.2" drop or so)....
Camber kit and alignment is a "must" in order to pull back the Z into OEM alignment.

I know that if I drop my Tanabe spring without doing any alignment and camber kit, my wheels will looks like like " / \ ".

If I drop my Tanabe spring + done my alignment after... Will my Z still look like this " / \ "???

If I get the spring+alignment+camber kit, for the money i can almost got a Tein Basic Coilover...
Which defeat "my" purpose of getting spring... which spent less than 400 on lowering my Z...

Yes, that is correct. You may be at the price of the coilover but that will be the coilover without the camber kit. Remember that with almost any setup, you will need the camber kit and alignment so you must factor that in when looking at parts. Sorry if this was not directed towards me.
