Default Replacement rotors for non-Brembos...opinions needed!!

Well I've been mulling over this decision for a while...I'm about to replace my front pads for the second time since I am FAR less the satisfied with my Hawk HPS pads to date. They squeak A LOT, initial bite sucks, the wear indicators are rubbing the rotor during turns (knock back) overall I'm annoyed out of my mind. I have Project Mu B-Force pads on order but since I'm replacing the pads again I was thinking of dropping some cash on some drilled rotors. My question, is it really even worth it to buy a one piece drilled replacement rotor for a non-Brembo system. I would of course do all 4 rotors ($400 roughly if I buy the Stoptechs). I mean is it really going to change anything? I had slotted rotors on my last car but only because a BBK was not avail at the time and I needed something. Or should I save the $400 on rotors and finish the oil cooler project I've been collecting parts for? Let me know please...
