Default Cusco A-Arms

If I were to buy cusco A arms and pair them up with my hotchkis springs (I'm not sure if this was possible.. correct me if wrong)

Could I get rid of my tire feathering?

I was just asking because I had heard of the Cusco A Arms from another thread I created and had my alignment done at Firestone where the tech said he couldn't adjust my FRONT camber because there is no adjustment. I take it out for a drive, growl is still there...I am just guessing if I got something to allow the tech to adjust front camber, then it would get rid of this tire growl?

depending on how much adjustment you need to camber.. i believe the cuscos only adjust a few degrees. if you want more adjustment, then you'll have to get some more aggressive A arms, such as the 350evo or the stillen ones...

The Cusco A Arms worked on my car. I have the Eibach Pro kit.

I believe the stillens offer more. I have the stillens and they are very well built and easy to adjust. I have no experience with the cuscos so I can say nothing first hand about them.

there is no way to determine how much correction you can or will get.....it is all dependant on where you are starting off from. Different cars with different mods will allow for different correction levels. Wheel offset, and specific tire dimensions have everything to do with your before/after results, as do your ride height

The easiest cure for the feathering is getting different tires

Will the Cusco A-Arms installed and adjusted get rid of tire feathering too though? When you say get different tires, that will only mean the tire feathering sound will still come back... wouldn't it?

probably 1.25 negative camber. I only got about .6 positive correction from the cusco arms. It's on a g35coupe with 245/35/20 front though.

dsk- is there vibration along with the growl? You might just need the wheels balanced. Or tires replaced. If it's the s03's then the noise is natural.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE040's... There is a very slight vibration because my car rattles a little when i brake. Tires Replace? (Because of Feathering).. Wheels balanced I doubt it.. this definately sounds like a roar

maybe brake pads are going out?

sorry, I didn't mean replacing the tires just because of feathering. I mean replace the tires if they are really low on tread. I guess you already checked tire pressure too.

Well my car IS at 21,000 miles on Brembo's.. maybe it's about time i check out getting replacement pads even if it's not the issue I think it's about time to swap 'em.

ok sorry I ran out of suggestions.

I just replaced the rotors and pads on my brembos at 41k miles. The inner pads were down to the metal while the outside still had some pad left.

good luck with resolving the tire growl. It seems to be natural on bridgestones though, even on my bike tires I have a lot of feathering with Bridgestone BT012 and bt014s.
