I was deciding between the two as well, but I'm going with Hotchkis.
I have Hotchkis sways on my Celica GT-S and the handling is great.

I tend to sway towards nismo with the parts that I buy just because the r&d that went into them is sometimes quite a bit better. No pun intended by the way...

I am going with the Cusco bars. The front bars are adjustable to around 137% of stock and the rear can go to a little less. These bars are got goood previews. I just ordered them this week. Just my 2c.

I ordered my nismo sways from Perfnissan, and we don't get "good" mods for decent prices in France, so my nice girlfriend from NY takes care of the "shipment"

Nismo sways vs Hotchkis sway's

Nismo sway's are not adjustable and do not offer as much stiffness as most if not all aftermarket adjustable sway's in the front. The Nismo rear sway bar is not stiffer then the oem rear bar.

oem Z's running unrevised suspension's (03-04 USDM Z coupes)
Front: +18%
Rear: -1%

oem Z's running the revised suspension (04.5+ and all roadsteers)
Rear -1%

Even if the above figures were not known, the Nismo bars still have the flaw of being non adjustable. The whole point of improving a car with a sway bar change should be to fine tune the car's at the limit handling behavoir. Which is simply NOT possible if you equip with a fixed non adjustable bar. Your best bet is to purchase a adjustable bar set that has the collar system you like or you know how to add them if it doesn't, from a brand you trust, at a price point you feel is justified.

the G and Z bars are different?
i think i saw it on best motoring that the Z underbody and suspension set up is more aggressive and stiff than the G's

Well I kept my post Z specific since the original poster and everyone else that I can see thus far is a Z owner. Sometimes I will include G35 specs, here I felt that a pinpoint Z only responce was best. But to answer your question or comment. Bear with me, not a easy quick thing to get across. Might be TMI to some

When oem Z/G sway bars are the same.

Group 1
350Z's with unrevised suspension's 03/04 cars
all G35 coupe production delivered on oem 17's and 18's
all G35 sedan's with optional sport suspension 03/04
All G35 sedan's with with non sport suspension 03/04

Group 2
350Z's with revised suspension's meaning coupes 04.5+
350Z roadsteer's all from job one
all G35 coupe's delivered on oem 19's
all 05/06 G35 sedans regardless of sport or non sport

Under car brace differances

The G35 coupe has all of the 350Z's undercar braces meaning. Front cross bar, both tunnel stay's and the rear pin stay.
The G35 sedan has non of the 350Z's under car brace system's, it's front brace system is a shadow of the Z's much more massive front brace setup. Sedan's can't have the rear pin stay since out spare tire wheel well blocks it's path.

The brace no G35 has or can have.
Front strut tower brace

When we say the Z has a stiffer suspension, the reality of saying that varies greatly depending on what year your Z is and what oem suspension you have vs if your comparing to a G35 coupe with or without a 05 sport suspension.

Z's on the original suspension, which I call the unrevised suspension run spring rates of 314/342 and shocks that have a very large amount of compression dampning, which makes the whole car feel on the stiff side, more then the spring rates would leave you to believe is their. A Z on this suspension will feel stiffer then all oem G35 setups.

Z's on the revised suspension feature shocks that have less compression dampning and a 27% increase in rear spring rate 314/427

In order of feel, stiffest to the softest, notice some I consider a tie.

1. 03/04 oem Z's on unrevised suspension's
2a. 04.5+ oem Z's on the revised suspension (includes roadsteers)
2b. 05/06 G35 coupes delivered on 19's
3a. 03/06 G35 coupes delivered on 17's or 18's
3b. 03/06 G35 sedan's with sport suspension
4. 03/06 G35 sedan's with non sport suspension

Spring rates for the above in the same order.
1. 314/342 (love the firmness, HATE the bouce/porposing)
2a. 314/427 (fixes the bounce issue above, but less lively)
2b. 314/427 (should have been the suspension from the start, IMO)
3a. 314/342 (why different from #1?,...softer shock tuning)
3b. 314/342 (shocks are not the same as 3a, but I have every reason to believe they are valved the same).
4. 283/309 (Underdampned IMO, though I get Infiniti's reasoning)

Jason wrote: The NISMO Sways are not adjustable, but, the sway bars are most effectiive since they use a hard rubber bushing, while other sway bars like Stillen use the stock bushings... Even though they are set higher, some of that stiffness is lost with the soft bushings...

Cusco remains my preferred choice....since they physically lower the center of gravity and are strong beyond belief.
