PSA: Brake Rotors are Directional ...
I made a mistake about this in another thread. I told Volk350Z that I thought his brake rotors were reversed but I was wrong. I made this mistake because he has Project Mu BBK and their rotors are of a different design than other companies. I just thought -- if I could make this mistake someone else might, too.
Just about all high performance brake rotors are directional (make sure you have "left" on the left side and "right" on the right side).
However, as Volk350Z mentioned, the slots or drilled sections are not always the way to tell whether you have the rotors on the correct side. The fins INSIDE the rotor actually determine the correct direction of the rotor (and you can't see inside very well
)
Here's some examples, note how the design of the slots on the Project Mu rotors is reversed, even though the rotor is installed correctly.

I had a similar moment Tuesday.
After spending quite a bit of time on Monday putting on new pads, rotors etc. when I put the car back on the ground it was well past dark and didn't even look back.
Well the next morning when I got to work I looked at them and thought, hey, aren't the grooves going the wrong way? I looked all around the car and they were all facing the same "wrong" direction. I obsessed all day at work, planning to take them off and switch them around when I got home, wondering how I could be so dumb, etc.
I get home, open the garage, block the tires and grab the jack. As I inspected the rotors through the wheels, I noticed a part number stamped into the hat with an "L" at the end and I was on the left side. So I went around to the other side and low and behold "R" at the end of the same number. Same with the backs, L on the left and R on the right. So I got it right and then thought it wrong.
By the way, EBC Sport Rotors are the same as the Project Mu in your post, the hub side of the groove hitting the pads before the outer edge. I suspect this is so the "hot gasses" move out from the center.
