Default What settings do you have your Hotchkis sways on?

Light, medium, or stiff (front/rear)? What type of driving do you do?

I asked this question before...
my setting is hard front and medium rear....feels great on the street. Aot of other people use med/med for streets and are happy with them too...

I have them set on Med/Med for now.

I have had very neutral steering with the combination of 255/35/19 front, 285/35/19 rear, hotchkis springs and med/med setting.

I would like to make them firm/firm but I'm afraid to change such a good steering setting...

I had them set like this at a performance driving clinic on the track... felt great. this setup is already kinda overkill for the street though... I don't think you need hotchkis sways at all just for street

Let me know what you decide.

Did you buy the collars for the sways? I haven't had any issues but I've been told the collars are a good thing to have. You can run a search if you don't know what I'm talking about...

something about Mcmaster collars and hotchkis...

Will do. I read the thread about the collars, but don't know if I'll drive my ride hard enough to make the sways shift. BTW, nice lookin' Z you got there.

I have the TVS 1 kit with Med/Med. I just did my first autoX and it handled much more neutral! It was much easier to oversteer into and out of corners. (before, I had some corners that would feel like terminal understeer). I love the set-up and feel it works on the street as well...I've yet to find a reason to change the settings - I haven't been to the track yet, but am looking forward to it!

I'd have to agree with the med/med setting. I've had mine at med/stiff and too much weight came off the rear inside wheel when turning, it felt like i was having FWD hatchback wheel lift. Med/Med gives more grip. I guess it all comes down to what kind of driving you do.

One man's sway bar setting bliss may be another's regreat. What is best depends on what mods you have, what at the limit behavior traits you like most, and how deep your talent well is. Only consider your first settings as a trial, don't consider them locked in until you've carefully explored the car's behavior at the limit's. Sway bars should only be used to fine tune a already well sorted chassis.
