Is $295 expensive for a Spring install?
$15 and about 4 hours of your time and you can do it yourself. Buy a spring compressor from the local auto parts store and then just Dis-mount your Shock/Struts from the car. use the spring compressor to take the pressure off, remove the end caps and replace the springs.
if a shop is doing it, I would expect no more than 2 hours of shop time.

There is no way to justify charging someone $300.00 to install springs it is as simple as that.

the thing with this is that the flat rate time is higher due to the fact you have to disassemble the strut/spring combo. now if you were where installing say some tokico shocks with a spring, it would be less.
im with superchargeddg on this one. but then again youll have to find a mom and pop store or a good performance shop to do the install. any corporatized place wont do it for liability issues.

thanks for the link and the tip ahsmo. im dont want to pay 160 bucks to have just the front springs installed. thats sick. the rears were installed for $50 but thats because i had my car at nissan for a recall and the whole rear end was already off.
im going to give this one a try myself. 3-4 hours to install is ok with me. i've installed everything else on this car. why not springs?
