Question Eibach/TEIN Springs Question

Hey again,

Just wondering if either TEIN S-Tech or Eibach Pro-Kit springs work okay with stock shocks? And if they do are there any other issues like camber that need to be addressed with only the installation of new lowering springs? Basically i am looking to get something to lower the car while i save up for coilovers, but i don't want to get only springs if i need to get a bunch of other parts (like camber kit or something like that)...any help would be awesome...thanks everyone!!

I have Tein S-techs with stock shocks. The ride stays good for awhile. But you can slowly feel the shocks give away as time goes by. The ride gets a little bit more rough. At first when i put the springs on, the camber was pretty bad, but i just took it to get aligned and they messed with the stock camber or whatever and got it within spec without a camber kit. Everything is okay except im not to happy with the drop in the rear, it could go much lower.

oh and by the way. if you dont have aftermarket wheels and are planning to just drop on s-techs while you wait for coilovers i say wait for coilvers and leave the stock height. Its not even that noticeable with s-techs unless you have aftermarket wheels.

Thanks for the info...how about Eibach Sportlines. Is that too aggressive a drop for stock shocks?

Just make sure to keep a full tank of gas. Problem solved.

I have Eibach Pro-kit springs w/ stock shocks. I haven't had any issues with ride quality. I think the drop looks good, but my camber is off. Some people can get back into spec w/ the Eibachs and some people can't. I will be installing SPC camber arms & Cusco front A arms to bring her back into spec.

I believe eibach is 1inch all the way around. I'm running the S-Tech's w/Tokico D's w/19s all the way around. I've got a 1.75 finger gap in the back btw tire and fender and the front I have about the same.

Eibach's are 3/4" drop up front & 1 1/4" drop in the rear. I have 18" Nismo LMGT4 wheels w/ no rubbing. I guess it depends what size tires you put on your 20's & how wide your 20's are.

I have some H&R Sport Springs with the stock shocks and 19" Work VS-XX. The ride quality is a little stiffer then normal. 1.3 Front and 1.0 Rear. The wheel gap in the front is one finger and the rear is 1.75 like the Eibachs. For sure in the next couple of months I need to get some shocks. Its either going to be Tokico D-Spec or Koni Yellows. Other than that the car rides and feels more aggressive. Conering now has improve dramatically, a lot less roll!
