Default Brake rotor upgrade...need help

I recently bought new brake pads, and am getting ready to have them put on. I thought that since I was already going to be doing the pads, I may want to do the rotors as well.

Honestly I have no idea whether or not the rotors need to be changed. I also do not know if they have already been turned. I bought the car with 37K miles. It currently has 46K.

I realize that buying stock rotors is only a little cheaper than buying an upgraded rotor, so I have decided to go with an aftermarket rotor should I decide to buy them. So on to my question.

Should I go ahead and buy some aftermarket rotors. If so, which should I buy? I have looked all over the internet, and I see several options.

Here is some important information that will obviously play a part in my selection:
  • I have stock wheels and do not plan on upgrading them
  • I do not track my car....EVER
  • I have a 2003 Touring (Non-Brembo)
  • My main concern is life of the rotors, pads, and most importantly....the least amount of brake dust possible

I have also seen several different auctions on eBay for rotors. Are they junk?
Ooooh yeah...I guess another important factor is I would prefer staying at or around $400 for a total set.

Thanks in advance for any advice you may give.

Ebay - I've bought rotors there before for other cars and had no problems at all. Just don't race with them..

Bah...lol...OEM Brembos are nice. But the resell price is still WAY too high. Thats why I don't have them. I'll prolly end up with a nice AP setup by the end of the year but for now I'm running these Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads. Oh yeah and Crown lines.

if your not concerned about performance then I'd say to stick with OEM. I definately wouldn't recommend drilled rotors as they have a tendency to crack under heavy use. if you were to get slotted rotors, it will end up costing you more to turn them than the stock ones. and with any high performance rotor, all you'll really get is better heat dispersement which won't help the longevity of the rotor. if you must, then I would suggest the stoptech stage 2 kit which gives you stoptech slotted rotors, hawk pads, steel brake lines and motul fluid for about $500. I'd talk to performance nissan if you are interested in that.
