Default New rotors with old pads?

Guys,

I recently changed my front brakes with hawk pads. I have about 2k miles on them. At that time, I kept the stock rotors (which I should have changed too).

Any problems if i take out the rotors now and replace them using my existing pads?

In theory, I shouldn't be doing it, has anybody try it??

Thanks,
Tony

I just replaced my rotors with pads that were on there. My rotors weren't bad so I didn't expect any uneven wear on the pads. Anyway they are working fine.

I don't know where you got your theory from.

There is no reasons to change everthing at the same time other than if everything needs replacment at that time. Just change the rotors now, follow the bed-in procedure again and voila.
