brake upgrade
i went to get my car serviced at nissan last week for break squeeking and they informed me that i have to replace my front brake rotors and pads (quoted at $505). since i have to replace them, i was thinking i might as well upgrade.
i don't want to spend too much money ($2000-4000) on a BBK so i was thinking about upgrading to slotted/drilled rotors, new pads, and possibly new brake lines. i was looking at the following:
stoptech stage 2 brake upgrade:
includes everything but the calipers (slotted or drilled rotors, performance pads, brake lines, and motul brake fluid) for about $700
custom brake upgrade:
includes EBC drilled and slotted rotors, axxis ultimate brake pads
front and rear should cost approximately under $500 from what i calculated
what do you guys think i should go with? please feel free to throw in any other suggestions...

the stoptech package is tried and true but...
unless you track your car it really would be for looks and peace of mind IMO.
I would just get plain rotors and some good pads and call it done. Though it wont look nearly as cool, it will not cost and arm and a leg.(500 bucks)
I paid about 120 dollars to have my front rotors turned and the brake pads replaced. You also can look for maxima rotors, they are the same.
