Any Project Mu BBK owners out there?
Just wanted to get some feedback from owners or people in the know about this product. I know they are an amazing setup for track use but as for daily driving do you have issues with squeaking from the high perf pads? As far as dust are they toleratable? I'm not expecting perfection but i dont want to drive around sounding like a Yugo with squeaky brakes that should like nails on a chalkboard when im not at the track. Pics would also be greatly appreciate. I have only seen the one from their website on the silver Z.
Good brake pads tend to squeal and dust - either deal w/ it or don't buy them as you will be disappointed otherwise.
You can put some low dust/low friction/low noise pads in there - but what's the point in that?

Thats not completely true. There are a variety of high performance pads that offer low noise and low dust (Hawk Performance Ceramic come to mind). Remember the brake pads are most often the source of the noise. Sometime rotors can make noise but for the most parts its the pads. Its just a matter of finding out what pads fit the calipers and going from there. Also, a well bed in system is less likely to make noise than an unbed system. More info here:

. But in reverse they can honk like a dying moose. I just nod when people say "What's wrong with your brakes?" or 'Your wheels need washing." But that's me - you may not like that tradeoff.
hehe...Im running Hawk DTC-70s on my car right now. Its a full race pad that I left in since we had a track day last Sunday and are going again this Sunday. The sound from the brakes is a combination of semi truck and barking dogs getting me a lot of dirty looks from other drivers.
Im looking forward to going back to my quiet and clean Hawk Performance Ceramics next week

werd - me likes
those new Hawk compounds seem to be a good improvement in terms of caustic moon dust and shredding rotors - a customer of mine with your front kit on an STi gave me a great report after his track days
unfortunately in my shape it's not offered yet

How hard is it to change out the pads in that case? For instance taking out the mu pads when im not on the track and putting those hawk ones in? And where would i find if they even fit for that matter
