Question Lowering Rear

Is it ok to just lower the rear end of my car? I am thinking of the .8 drop on the rear and nothing in the front. I am also putting 19"s on soon. I think I will go with eibach. Thanks guys.

I was wondering the excat same thing. I assume it'll mess with the handling of the car if you just lowered the rear (correct me if i'm wrong!)

other than your spring compression rate differing from front to rear and buying a set of four springs but only using 2, probably nothing abnormal. 0.8 drop isn't bad. I know from experience that a 0.6 drop in the rear can be realigned to factor specs(camber & toe)

Tein makes a kit that doesn't drop the car much and it will keep the spring rates the same. My driveway has a huge curb and I have a Mastergrade front lip, if I pull in or back out, it scrapes pretty badly. I can still back in without scraping. Tein will be the only option I know of right now.

Eibach drops the rear 1.25 inches. I would put the front springs on as well if I were you. Eibach fronts lower it 3/4 inch.

i'm assuming you guys want to even out the car by just lowering the rear. if that's the case, maybe you should consider the rear spring seat mod. cut down the rear spring seat and you can get around 0.2" of drop for free. there's a thread on here somewhere that details this.

Here's the link: https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/187959-06-upper-rear-spring-seat-free-lowering-mod.html

As for whether it's a good idea or not, I have no idea...
